The Veiled Maiden is a psychotic villain who terrorizes northern Avnice. She is the creator of the Blanket Rip signal (sometimes called Death Horse) which she has used to steal the soul data of thusly killing hundreds, including Jehaziel and Auriel Kayunimura. She has such deep knowledge of soul data and its relationship with the body that she was able to create a powerful domicile who does not experience rot no matter how many killer personalities and abilities she puts in his mind. He is called Makkura the Haymaker. 

However, one day Makkura is killed in battle leading the Veiled Maiden to begin acting on her final plan to wreak havoc on Avnice. While it's not Thadeo's goal to stop her, their fates become irrevocably intertwined when Thadeo takes the Rip Chip left on Makkura's body.

While little is known about her personal life or history, it is known that she fights by ballet dancing, manipulating her own blood and transforming parts of her body into that of animals that lived on the surface, especially the kaiju tarantula.
