====== Patch Notes 2024.04.20 ======

This patch implements the free to play game model in Evolver. There are a number of features that are tied to this update including character and color palette unlocks. While the characters are locked by default (there are 3 free rotation characters who are unlocked) **you are given enough EXO-tokens by default to purchase all 6 characters**. There are also some improvements to the netcode and the introduction of customizable Calling Cards which are displayed to opponents before a ranked match. 

===== Online Shop =====
  - Characters and color palettes are now locked by default and can be unlocked with EXO-tokens which are awarded for playing ranked (more points are awarded for winning) as well as playing The Underground in the single player modes. By default, you are given enough EXO-tokens to purchase all 6 characters currently in game.
  - There is also a shop to buy customization options for your calling card. Your calling card is displayed in the upper right corner of the character select in online modes and it is sent to the opponent when matched in ranked. 
  - More items are planned and suggestions are welcome!

===== General Patch Notes =====
  - Updated ELO calculation for victories to include a minimum that scales on the losing player's rank (i.e. you are guaranteed to increase by a certain amount of ELO for defeating a player ranked higher than you)
  - Calling Card
    - You calling card will display your name and rank to opponents and your exact ELO locally
    - You can change the border and background by acquiring more from the shop
    - You can add flares and character icons by acquiring them from the shop
    - You can add badges by winning them in ranked. Badges are awarded for attaining new rank tiers as well as accomplishing certain achievements
  - Save data will now sync across the Steam Cloud and thus items will be unlocked across all devices when purchased. 

===== Bug Fixes =====
  - Fixed a bug which allowed you to select a character without selecting enough stances
  - Fixed a bug where Briah could permanently freeze himself between two ice walls
  - Other minor bug fixes
